Tiji Festival is one of the major and colorful event, usually takes place around mid - May and lasts for 3 days. Tiji festival is stand on the mythological story of walled city Lo-Manthang, it is belief that before fifteenth century there was a deity named Dorje Jono who fights against his demon father and save the kingdom of Mustang from destruction. The monks of Lo-manthang Monastery perform various Tibetan rituals dances wearing various kinds of colorful costumes & masks during celebration in order to chase the demon away from Kingdom of Mustang.
Upper Mustang Tiji Festival Jeep Tour combines through Mustang’s alluring local villages, spectacular dry landscapes, ancient temple & monastery, amazing wall cave and magnificent views of most iconic mountains including mount Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and many other incredible snowcapped peaks before arriving at the walled city of Lo-Manthang. This tour offers opportunity to experience the adventure Jeep safari at world’s deepest river gorge Kali Gandaki and also chance to know more about culture, tradition, food and unique life style of Tibetan.

Restricted area permits 
Upper Mustang was a restricted area until it was opened in 1992 for visitors which makes it one of the most conserved area in the world. Tourism to Upper Mustang is still regulated and tourist need to get a special permit to enter restricted area. In order to get the special permit, you need to have minimum two peoples in a group. If you are solo traveler, we can arrange special permit by group joining with other travelers. Special Permit charge for restricted area costs USD 500 per person for 9 nights and 10 days, starting & ending in Kagbeni. For special permit we need original passport and photo.

Nepal Best Trekking Site

Lower Dolpo Lower Dolpo can be accessed from the airstrip in Jufal, Dolpa district. You need to fly from Nepalgunj to Jufal. The trekking takes from the airstrip to Shey Phoksundo Lake and from there return to the airport again. From the airstrip, you fly back to Nepalgunj. There is a permit fee of US dollar 10 per person per week for trekking in the Lower Dolpo. Besides there is one time entry fee of rupees 1,000 (US dollar 15) into the Shey Phoksundo National Park. You need to arrange for the food and accommodation. It takes around two weeks to complete the trek. Upper Dolpo Upper Dolpo is the trekking from Jumla to Jomsom or vice-versa. You can fly to Jumla from Nepalgunj or to Jomsom from Pokhara. You can start the trek from Jumla and trek to Jomsom or vice-versa. After completing the trek you will fly out of Jomsom to Pokhara or take the reverse of Jomsom trek route. You will pass the Shey Phoksundo lake and cross several passes while trekking in this route.
